About Us
Healthy Habits for Kids is the culmination of the dreams and visions of Megan Austin, who at 10 years old decided she wanted to make a difference in the world by helping other kids. She recognized that kids everywhere deal with the same challenges, and everyone wants to be happy, healthy and liked. She set out to touch 1 Million Lives through outreach, videos, fun activities, and her new mentorship program.
Megan started her first business when she was 5 years old, selling chicks and farm-fresh eggs. She worked hard and learned a great deal about discipline, responsibility, and creating good habits...especially since the animals were relying on her for their health and livelihood. She regularly helps her mom in the garden and the kitchen and loves sharing information about healthy foods and nutrition.
Megan has been an avid lover of essential oils since she was a baby. She is very knowledgeable about various oils and their benefits and enjoys teaching others about them.
In her spare time, Megan loves to swim, play computer games, ride her bike, ride her horse, snuggle with her cat, and play with her other animals. She also loves to play the piano and has been learning music since she was 4 years old.
In school, her favorite subject is Science, and she loves to read.
Megan loves the Lord and is active in her church youth group, volunteers regularly, and is part of the church music group and puppet ministry.
She first started starring in videos with her mom, Rebecca Austin who founded and created Healthy Homestead Living. Megan regularly would help with the various homestead and healthy eating videos created for her mom's website. It didn't take long for Megan to decide she wanted a website of her own, to specifically help kids. We hope you enjoy the information provided here and share it with your friends.
